Back Office Administrator – Clearing & Settlement
Would you like to work close to the financial markets and help ensure that our customers' securities transactions are processed accurately and efficiently? Do you thrive in a role where attention to detail, problem-solving and teamwork are key? Then the position as a Backoffice Administrator in our Clearing & Settlement team could be the next step for you!
About the role
As a Backoffice Administrator, you will join our Clearing & Settlement team, consisting of 18 colleagues. Together, we ensure that trades in Swedish and international markets are settled correctly and that transactions are processed smoothly. Our work involves both automated processes and manual controls, where attention to detail, structure and problem-solving skills are essential.
In this role, you will take independent responsibility for processing and ensuring the accuracy of customers' securities transactions, reconciliations and transfers within established deadlines. You will also have the opportunity to develop your expertise, take on new responsibilities and contribute to improving our processes.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Ensuring accurate clearing and settlement of trades in Swedish and international markets, including foreign exchange transactions and FX swaps.
Managing securities transfers to and from Avanza, as well as conversions.
Performing daily reconciliations of cash balances, securities holdings, derivatives and foreign currency positions, including investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Implementing new regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance.
Identifying risks and opportunities for improvement, and contributing to more efficient workflows and processes.
We work primarily from our office in central Stockholm, as close collaboration is an important part of our daily operations, with the flexibility to work remotely when needed.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, structured and enjoys taking ownership of their work. You have strong analytical skills, enjoy solving problems and find it easy to collaborate and communicate with others.
The role involves a combination of recurring administrative tasks and more complex problem-solving, sometimes under time pressure. It is therefore important that you work systematically, are persistent and maintain your focus and attention to detail, even in a fast-paced environment. You are also curious, proactive and motivated by developing both your own skills and our shared ways of working.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
At least one year of experience working in banking, finance, back office operations, or a similar qualified administrative role with practical understanding of settlement processes, payment flows, or securities administration.
Good general computer skills and confidence working with Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Swedish and English.
Completed secondary education (preferably in business, economics, or natural sciences).
It is considered an advantage if you have:
Post-secondary education in economics, finance, or a related field.
Experience working with industry-specific systems such as Euroclear, BNP Neolink, Danske Bank Direct, SEB Investor World, Nasdaq Q-port, Finastra or Abasec.
